My name is Dan Chalcraft and I have a Bachelor of Applied Journalism (B.J.) from Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) with a concentration in Public Relations. With over five-plus years as a Public Relations professional, I have specialized in the non-profit sector with a focus on the disability community.
I developed key partnerships with corporate and government stakeholders which resulted in $2500 in sponsorships for the Cerebral Palsy Association of BC (CPABC), used my knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and In-design to create content for ice sledge hockey write-ups which were featured in the 2010 Paralympics’ newsletter and on their website, and helped organize and formulate data through conducting interviews with oil and gas professionals which served as content for the World Petroleum Council (WPC) Youth magazine: Uniting Energy Leaders of Tomorrow. I served as an editorial member on the Youth Magazine Team providing insight and direction.
