A degree in Communications from Simon Fraser University sent James down a winding career path that has featured opportunities as a marketer, broadcaster, and writer, most of which for Thompson Rivers University. At the intersection lies a passion for people and telling great stories. Recent projects for James include a role with the startup, the GIST, and freelance work for cannabis publication, Canadian Evergreen.
Raised in the Vancouver suburbs before returning after the quick detour to Kamloops, he has learned lessons in diversity that fuel a goal of imperfect allyship. Away from writing, James spends his time ranking doughnut shops with his wife, Katie, and hand-wringing about the Vancouver Canucks.
