Debbie Yan was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and is currently the corporate controller and Head of Finance for one of the business process automation entities owned by Quadient, a public, multinational company traded in Euronext.  Within Quadient, Debbie has helped to champion the “Empower Program,” which is a program to help women navigate the complexity of their leadership careers, as well as promote inclusion and diversity as key objectives in Quadient’s corporate social responsibility initiatives. 

Prior to joining Quadient, Debbie was the Head of Finance for the North American operations of a global mining software company. Debbie is also a SFU alumni, obtaining dual Finance and Biology degrees in her undergrad.  In 2020, Debbie returned to SFU and is currently enrolled in the EMBA program.

Debbie is a CPA, CGA charter holder and PwC alumni.  She is currently involved with CPA BC as a mentor to upcoming students in the program.  She has also previously worked with the Ovarian Cancer Foundation BC Chapter in many of their fundraising initiatives. In her spare time, she is a huge foodie and loves to do food-based projects with her husband.
