Media release – The Laurier Institution Launches New Website

The Laurier Institution is delighted to announce the launch of our newly designed website, which reflects our 30-year history and continued commitment to inspiring action around equity, diversity and inclusion. Visit us at https://thelaurier.ca.  After three months of hard work and dedication, we are delighted to officially announce the launch on July 13, 2020. We are grateful to the website development team at Restobox; they have been a fantastic partner for us. We thank the Government of Canada, whose generous support from the Community Support, Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Initiatives Program, made it possible to create this new website during our 30th Anniversary Year.

The new website is easier to navigate, more user-friendly and continues to reinforce our purpose of envisioning a world where diversity is valued and everyone is included. With our new website, we are able to better disseminate information regarding our thought leadership, services and resources to our many partners, members, donors, sponsors, and the general public. We endeavor to provide the most accurate, up-to-date resources, projects and events and share our knowledge and expertise in the field of diversity and inclusion.

The new website is designed to provide our online visitors an easier way to learn about The Laurier Institution’s resources and services, and to seamlessly navigate our content by topic, including: Who We Are, What We Do, Resources, Supporting The Laurier Institution, our Blog, how to Donate and Contact Us.

We have also consolidated our media resources – including our publications and podcasts, many of which were produced in partnership with CBC IDEAS – in one online hub. This enables our website to function as a content directory and resource to our current and prospective partners, members, and the general public.

Additional features of our new site include integrated social media buttons for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn to foster improved communication with online communities. Content will be continually refreshed with helpful information, cutting-edge thought leadership, announcements and partner successes in the Blog and Resources page.

I would like to personally thank our dedicated staff and website design project team at The Laurier Institution and those who donated their time and energy to make this site what it is. For any questions, suggestions, feedback or comments, please email us at [email protected].
